Excellent product, increasing the effective length of my 40-150 Pro to 600. Unfortunately it loses 2 stops so max aperture is now 5.6. That lens has no image stabilisation but 600 is not too difficult to hand hold if you are careful and watch the shutter speed. Image quality is very good. The Ebay/SRS sale price made it a bargain compared to the other option of buying a 100-400 or the 300 Pro. I now have a 2 lens set up with 12-40 and 40-150/80-300. I have kept the extender on the lens and will only take it off when a shorter range is required. I use it for landscapes, wildlife and hopefully airshows in the future again. This teleconverter adds real wildlife ability and flexibility to the 40-150 Pro already in my bag at relatively low cost & weight. It does need good light because you loose 2 stops, but is still very usable. Then, take it off to return to a fast low light lens. The extra length is worth the extra stop of light loss compared to the MC-14, & without any further degradation in quality it seems. SRS Microsystems delivered very quickly. Faultless. This teleconverter adds real wildlife ability and flexibility to the 40-150 Pro already in my bag at relatively low cost & weight. Solid classy stuff Olympus!
I know this has got to be good. Sadly I can't attach it to the Extension tube and am looking for advice. Many others have done it. I am going for super deep macro!
