  • Film has a beautiful distinctive quality, I think I got an ebay bargain.

This is a great camera, robust, simple, a sophistcated piece of kit. I love how the light meter works, nice and simple much clearer than my first film SLR (a 2nd hand practica purchased for £20 in 1993). The exposure compensation dial is also very easy to use which I find helps me capture the scene as I see it. I had always wanted a nice 35mm film stills camera, then when digital came along the logical thing to do was get a digital SLR, the DSLR was obtained a few years ago so now I have finally gotten around to owning a good film SLR. Digital has numerous advantages over film but I think that if for example you want to hang a photograph on a wall the quality of film is much superior to digital so I'll keep the film SLR for shots that I want to have framed.

  • Masterpiece of a camera

Probably the last 35mm slr to be developed and the high water mark all should be compared to. Solid, reliable and extremely capable. The hybrid shutter has a full range of shutter speeds fired mechanically without needing a battery and using aperture priority gives you the ability to shoot stepless between labeled shutter speeds of required. Absolutely brilliant camera to use

  • Compact size, but solidly built 35mm SLR. Simple to use, yet 100% reliable!

Compact size, but solidly built 35mm SLR. Simple to use, yet 100% reliable! All you need are 2 batteries, a quality Nikkor lens and a roll of a good film and you ''paint with light''. FULLY recommended for both use and collection, as examples in mint and excellent condition, hold value for ever!

  • Nikon FM3A

Nikon FM3a one of the world class cameras, it's completely manual where you adjust everything yourself from widing the film to controling the exposure you want. The body of the camera is great its metal, might weight a little, but its standard weight. The FM3a also uses new version Nikkor lens or compatable lens, however it would be manual focus. If you a person who like vintage camera, it is a camera you have to buy and own. It looks like the ever first FM camera, but the features are improved. It is also the last vintage manual camera created, which is no longer in production. Nikon FM3a is great starting point of photography, learning how to control light, ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture and many more. These skills are the basics of every photographer out there and first step in the ...

  • The Nikon FM3a is the best Nikon manual focus film camera ever.

If you have some Nikon lenses (with an aperture ring) and want to be able to use film as well as digital, this is the best film camera to buy. It is something of a classic as the last manual film camera Nikon produced; it was in production from 2001 to 2006. It now commands something of a premium in the used marketplace, and not all used cameras are in tip top condition. I got one that is and has a late serial number, and it is a true delight. Boxed items often indicate a careful owner, and I find it worth buying from these sellers. Also check that the viewfinder has a diopter lens; many used cameras seem to be without this. It can be easily replaced, but its absence tends to suggest that the camera has not been cared for that well. That's my advice; there are plenty of detailed reviews of ...
