Digitech RP1000
Great multi FX unit. Solid build & very versatile. I have set mine up so I can use my amp's own preamp for drive tones, with mod, reverb & delay effects in the effects loop and compression/drive effects before the loop. Can't comment on the amp sims as I don't use them, but the delays, modulation effects, reverb, overdrive/distortion and wah etc are all excellent. Only downside is the compressors are not brilliant, but they are usable so no problems.Great multi FX unit. Solid build & very versatile. Great value for money
I have owned two of these. One when they were released and purchased a second one recently. An excellent effects unit for the money and very versatile. I like that you can put your amplifier pre-amp in a loop to ensure the correct chain on the effects and also you can dis-engage the amplifier simulator it is a good feature if you have a problem like a blown tube at a gig and you need to put it through the PA quickly. I know this might sound surprising but the noise gate is great and so is the ability to link it up to your PC or MAC to back-up or program your pre-sets. It is a pity Digitech never issued driver updates as it doesn't work in any sequencers in Windows 10 - the ASIO function doesn't work - the X-Edit program works fine though!
