Reviews
"THE AGE OF PLASTIC's New Wave influence was forged less in British punk and more in prog rock. It makes this record stand out more for the musicianship, while never taking itself too serious.", 4 1/2 stars (out of 5) - "...all jerky twitchings and absurdly inflated post-punk melodrama....'Video Killed The Radio Star' alone is worth slimming your wallet for. Essential."

The Buggles, ahead of their time.

The electronic genre could not be better represented then by this album, but don't take my word for it listen to it yourself. Trevor Horn was influenced by Kraftwerk and added a blend of pop and psychedelic music. In order to get the sounds he wanted he invented techniques using the equipment available in the late 70's to create futuristic sounds.

  • In my mind and in my car

I heard about it on the wireless back in '52. Was intent on tuning in on it, and though I'm young it didn't stop it coming through. It's rewritten by machine and new technology, so you can understand the problems now. No pictures to break your heart. Can't rewind, we've gone too far now. Blame it on the VCR.

  • Remaster Greatness

Having owned this album for many years on vinyl LP. I was stunned how improved the sound quality is on the remastered CD.

  • Electro classic

Video killed the radio star, one of, if not the best electro songs of th late 70s, an electo anthem.
