An old Otto Link's best friend!
I play an early Babbit Super Tonemaster Otto Link. There are many ligatures out there but these are my favorite by far. I prefer the old style 2 screw metal ligatures on my rubber pieces and this simple classic design gives me what I need. They work well on Florida Links too. Great choice for some clones like the Sakshama Florida and Double Line. Modern Links, especially the NY model, can be too fat for one of these so order with caution. On an old Link it's a major step up from the standard ligature. They look sexy too, easy on the eyes. And at forty bucks these are a bargain!I play an early Babbit Super Tonemaster Otto Link. Very high quality ligature alternative for the JodyJazz DV mouthpiece.
I purchased this ligature because I wanted an additional ligature for my JodyJazz DV Chicago tenor sax mouthpiece that complement both their supplied "H" ligature and the silver-plated power ring that I bought separately. It fits the mouthpiece perfectly and works well with the JodyJazz cap.The silver-plated ligature also looks great on the mouthpiece. I was looking for a ligature that was a bit larger that "covers" more area on the reed, and is very snug. For me this allows for a darker sound and again, for me the Selmer ligature works well with the longer opening facing design of the DV mouthpiece. I purchased this ligature because I wanted an additional ligature for my JodyJazz DV Chicago tenor sax mouthpiece that complement both their supplied "H" ligature and the silver-plated power ring that I bought separately.
