The only thing that was not clear was about the power supply. I had to order one from the company at the cost I bought the product for.

Got this as my first line 6 pod. It was used but great condition. It does s sound okay but it is a bit outdated and limited in sounds an function. It sounds best via recording, not that great in front of an amp BUT, I was intrigued so, I sold it after two weeks and bought a POD HD500x from proaudiostar on eBay. That unit is absolutely the best sounding effects/modeler unit I have ever heard and I have used them all, digitech, vox, boss, rack units, individual analog pedals. It just sounds epic and does everything I need it to. Get one!!

I only wish other modern modelers would create a simple device like the Line 6 POD 2.0. Everything is at your fingertips, including a button to turn on noise reduction. No complicated menus to sift through. A knob for everything you absolutely need. Yes, there is better modeling out there with newer technologies and advanced DSPs but the POD 2.0 just works, it's a ton of fun and sounds fantastic to boot.

The tech is dated, but, if you're using it like I do, to keep my chops up while traveling in down time, it's fine. It's not geared in the 2019 reality to be a viable amp replacement, sim or emulator you can use live. That's completely unrealistic. It is a great option for people traveling who don't want to miss their practice time and do a bit of lo-fi shredding. It's plenty good enough to that, just don't expect to be able to track w/ it unless you're using the clean tones, then you're good to go. The tones are from 17 years ago, and they were cutting edge at the time. Don't expect today's products to compare w/ this old school tool. It'll get you by in a pinch and for practice, and that's it. It will do those functions quite adequately, but don't get bunched up because it isn't an Axe F/S or a Kemper. Line 6 laid the ground work for those excellent products...and in the modern iteration of Line 6 Products, the Helix can hold it's own in functionality, tone and versatility against any digital platform on offer today.Read full review
