Because of the enormous carbon footprint, I did not want it sent from so far away. I once had some seeds arrive all the way from Indonesia. But in the end, I assume, it came from the UK (made in China, possibly came over as a large load which is not so bad). I am happy with the item.

The problem, which I didn't appreciate when purchasing them was that the velcrose strap could only be moved at an angle which was the problem. Managed to get over this and am happy with the comfort of the shoes and they do stay on, unlike some backless shoes. I am happy with the appearance and feel I paid a fair price for the quality of the product.
