  • Why I Bought Coreldraw X4 The Official Guide

I bought this book because I just bought the CorelDraw X4 software. I has been a very big help. It is so much easier to learn a program with a book then to learning it with the online manuals. I tend to lose my place switching back and forth between two windows. This way I can try the examples and learn the program with the book by my side. The only thing I wish is that it had a whole section on the Photo-Paint part of it, instead of just mentioning that Photo-Paint can be use for things that CorelDraw cant, but the Capture comes in so handy. Anyway, other then that I absolutely Love It!

  • Hard to locate answers to simple questions. Too much detail too soon in the chapters.

Too much information for beginners to comprehend. It's difficult to locate a simple answer to a simple question because this book throws out too much detailed information. A better index would help. A quick start guide would be a better solution if you are a rank beginner. For an experienced pro, this book is probably a great read. .

  • Coreldraw X4 by Steve Bain (2008)

Exactly what I needed, Corel X4 is such a vast program it is a huge learning curve and having a go with me manual to carry is helpful ,Corel puts together some training videos but I think this is a must have for someone new to Corel , me myself I haven't used it since Corel Draw in the 90's so I have a lot to learn but am enthused anyway it is a straight forwards manual and you can skip around easily and find what info you need on whatever you are working on at the time and actually gives you great suggestions for even better ideas and/or results

  • complete indepth coverage of coreldraw tools

This is a must have for the Coreldraw user... it's the reference guide you need to develop useful corel draw skills. This guide is useful to users at all skill levels ... the guide offers in depth explanation of various corel operations... a cd with visual guides and examples would be a plus ... unfortuately my copy didn't include this cd.
