    Good design

    After a few days use this monitor appears well designed and manufactured. It is simple to use and the controls very appropriate and easy to adjust. So far it has been totally reliable with no problems.

    Simple baby monitor

    Sound quality is so-so. It didn't filter out the noise of fan. But perhaps none of them could. Battery life is bad and didn't even last through the night (maybe the batteries were faulty). The unit is very slow to charge up batteries. So if you are counting on getting it plugged in when downstairs and using batteries over night every day, it may not charge up quick enough. My other Motorola monitor uses standard USB cables, so it was easy to use cables from other gadgets (eg, Kindle cables) for the parent unit. This monitor uses its own proprietary charger, so I only have the one. What I do sometimes when desperate is to use a separate AA battery charger to charge the rechargeable batteries (much faster) and swap them in the monitor since the unit uses standard AA batteries.

    Excellent

    Already purchased one of these monitors for 1st baby and now purchased a 2nd for baby number 2 as first still needs a monitor. It’s the best monitor I have used. Excellent sounds, I can hear the breathing of my baby more than I can when I’m actually in the room with her! Highly recommended.
