I purchased this based on the reviews I had seen. I was not dissapointed. Comes in a lovely case, and well presented. I was doi g my kitchen at time, so needed to cut a 4 inch hole for an extractor fan, and a hole for a 40mm kitchen sink waste pipe. I was lucky in that I had a 1500 watt Titan SDS drill. This made things a little easier, having more power than an ordinary drill. Do NOT use the hammer setting on your drill. When I was drilling, the the drill jammed a few times! I was lucky in that my drill has a clutch on it, otherwise I would be writing this review with a broken wrist! Do not expect it to cut straight through the wall, it will take time, and effort. My house is a 3 bedroom semi built in the 1930's, so I had to cut through an outside wall that was 2 bricks thick. You have to be patient. I reckon it took me about 20 to 30 mins, but I would do a bit, stop for a few mins. for a rest. My Titan SDS drill is not exactly light in weight, and I was working on a step ladder, and, above head height too, so not easy.Read full review

I know this is the cheaper end of Core drills, but this item is not worth the problems experienced when using it, and I would at least expect it to last for a few uses. First time of using the short SDS shaft twisted in drill, but managed to get it out with hammer. Secnd time of using the 127mm core drill, the screw thread sheared off of the core. Then using the 117mm core drill the long SDS shaft sheared off in the drill chuck, so my SDS hammer drill is unusable now. Only buy this item if you intend using it on plasterboard it cannot take the rigors of drilling through anything substantial, unless you enjoy hours of grief.

Very good quality product. Used the 38mm core bit this weekend and have to say how good it performed. Made sure it was used correctly ( hammer action off ). These are very solid, robust and sturdy metal core drills. Drilled my 38mm hole through double brick by taking it slowly and it never struggled at all. Good adapter range to suit most needs. I was very impressed when I opened the packaging box how professional the whole kit was. Each component shouted strong, solid and great value. Miles better than some kits I have seen. Fantastic value for the money as this kit has more than most other kits, or price for each individual item when compared.
