I definitely wasn't expecting live cockroaches to arrive loose in a soggy cardboard box. There was some scrunched up clingfilm in the box so I don’t know if they were originally wrapped in that, though I can’t think they were (how would they breathe?) They do seem healthy & lively. I think that if they’re going to be packaged like that, there needs to be a more prominent indication on the box that there are live animals inside, not 1 handwritten note among several that the posties 100%wont read.

Just seen this. No they definitely are not meant to be in a soggy box. The clingfilm was meant to go around the inside of the box to contain them and keep in moisture. It is actually meant to stop the box getting soggy as I give them bug gel to keep them watered along with the food. The clingfilm must not have been properly trapped- my apologies!
