Larry Blamire is a filmmaker with the loving sense of satire that we rarely see in the horror field during the decades since Mel Brooks created "Young Frankenstein." With the help of a repertory of veteran character actors and talented friends, he is creating a series of films that make us laugh, even as they lead us to sigh for the old days of classic "B" budget movies. "The Lost Skeleton Returns Again" is a jungle search for a lost treasure, with a cast of characters we have all seen before, examined a little more deeply than before with truly absurd results. Make some popcorn, take a couple of hours off from the news and the Twitterverse, and enjoy the return - two hours after you see it you'll be hungry to share it with friends.

I have loaned out "Lost Skeleton of Cadavera" to several friends, some thought is stupid, one saying "sure glad I wasn't alive back then", but to the fortunate few that actually "gets it", is a movie one watches over and over, even going as far as to quote movie lines in everyday speak (I also wonder...). The Lost Skeleton Returns Again (DVD, 2010) is, like its predecessor, set in a 1960 era of monster movie making. The brain child of actor/director Larry Blamire, he once again brings his movie making magic to the Independent screen. There is the usual comical emphasis on bad dialog, convenient plot twists, cheap special effects, and movie cliches of that era (and even today) and he makes it all work somehow. Although I felt that some of the jokes fell flat and the Cantaloupe People were a bit over the top, This is a very funny movie. Although I have viewed it once, I'm sure there are many things that I will catch the second time around, I'm sure. If you loved "Cadavera" you will enjoy this movie as well.Read full review
After seeing the first Skeleton movie, and hearing of this sequel, I had to get this. Like most sequels, it pales a little from the first. Having said that, it still provides what you expect. It continues with the same cast and another improbable story line. Great dialogue and better than you'd think effects make this work. The cantaloupe dance had me on the floor. You have to love those good bad movies from the 50s and 60s to truly enjoy this. Although you should see the first one before this, you won't be disappointed.
Sequel to "Lost Skeleton of Cadavra". If you like spoofs of 50s sci-fi flims, this is for you.

After being introduced to the Lost Skeleton a few years ago, I had to rush out and make all my friends watch it, and everyone of them liked it as much as I. After finding out that a sequel was in the works, i knew regardless, i had to have it. This one holds up just as well as the original, and should make any skeleton fan very happy.
