Polaroid Originals (the Impossible Project) bought the Enschede factory to make one-step film in 2010 but had to completely revise the chemical structure. The recent upgrade of the B&W film is better than the old TIP film, but still needs a.lot of work - it is not true B&W but more a sepia tone, it cannot be exposed to light for the first minute following ejection from the camera so you need to spend £20 on buying a 'frog tongue' to fit to the SX70 to cover the film and it needs a temp of 28 degrees for 10 minutes to develop - all of which is a pain in the arse which the original Polaroid film never required. However, as its the only film available for our 40 year old SX70 cameras then we have to learn to use it or go without. Oh, and the price compared to Fuji Instax is outrageous!
