    • Useful, robust and and flexible device for Bass

The more you know about the characteristics of your instrument, then the better you can use this device. It's robustly made, reliable, weighty so it doesn't move about with stiff cables, doesn't eat batteries, and is activated by sticking something in to the input socket. The controls are solid and have a good feel to them as well as a good range of movement. The foot switch is also robust and just the right size. You can power it with a PSU if you want (not supplied) and that's easily acquired; pay attention to polarity not just voltage. For me, I have a short scale (Fender 25.5") bass with vinyl tape wound strings and I want that Double Bass sound, well the only way of getting that is to get a Double Bass, but you can get a lot closer than your average bass guitar and this device helps ...

    • Astounding.

Wasn't expecting more than a good D. I. Box. After using it at my band rehearsal it's now become essential. It has made my ashdown drive pedal obsolete, cleaned up the bottom end in my tone and the whole band. I use a Spector Legend 6 Bass. I'm In a band with two bassists, drums and vocals. We both Bi-amp. A bass amp and a guitar amp. Getting these to all work together can be a real headache... But this has improved things so much, that the other bassist has one now. Tone very comparable to an ampeg type- Growly, very tight and controllable bottom end, doesn't "fart out" on Max. Top end can be moved between airy and crunchy. Build quality It is plastic, but I have no worries. I'm sure if I stomped on the 1/4" Jack, it would damage, but I keep mine on the pedal board ...

    • Expanding bass tone

Great preamp. Warm and punchy sound straight out of the box without need to have an amp when recording DI or straight into a live desk. Surprising range of sounds. Sturdy build.

    • Small price. BIG sound

Was curious and a little sceptical about Behringers claims about this pedal but for 28 quid thought it worth a punt. Best bass tone I've achieved in over 40 years. Dial in anything from Dub to Slap and a pretty close Geddy. Works best through my effects loop circuit but also impressive used in line . If you're wavering don't let the bargain basement price put you off. Other units are available but at £249 plus.....
