Clear markings allow them to be cut down to size easily, though bear in mind that shoe sizes do vary within the same fitting so leave a margin just in case! Perforations allow the shoes to breathe after wearing. I can't comment yet on how effective they are at reducing odour as I've only just started using them, but they look good, are great value, and are supplied in nifty plastic zip bags (two pairs per bag).
