About this product
Product Information
Previously published as School of Arts Guide to Careers (1987), this book surveys the many areas of the visual arts that students might consider when choosing a career path, and for visual arts professionals who are thinking of making a career change. The fields that are covered include art direction, film and video, the fine arts, graphic design, illustration, children's book design and illustration, industrial design and photography. Interviews are also included with visual art luminaries such as Steven Heller, Roy Lichtenstein, Milton Glaser, Paula Scher, Marshall Arisman, and Duane Michals. Revised to reflect how state-of-the-art technological developments have affected each field and to include more than 25 conversations with successful working professionals.

Seller Feedback (2,729)
- s***s (2970)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseCondition excellent, as described, well packaged, dispatched promptly.Excellent communication from seller. Arrived ahead of anticipated delivery dates. ARRIVED 1st May, expectected between 24th May and 3rd June. Thank you. No import tax payable. A very pleasing experience. Would recommend this seller. A book l have been seeking to replace for 7 years after it got misplaced when moving house after bereavement.
- a***l (338)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseAlthough the description details were misleading, the customer support was rather good. I ordered the 2-volume set of ‘Atlas Shrugged’, but received a single volume. It might not seem like much to others, but it’s a large book and a 2-set volume would have made it easier to read. In addition, poor packaging damaged the DJ. Anyways, after sending firm, yet precise and polite emails, the situation was promptly resolved, hence the positive feedback; and, why I would buy again from the seller. 👍
- c***r (537)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for the book. Overall, my book arrived in "ok quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. However, inside, there was no other protective packaging. One small point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging, especially for higher price books subject to international delivery.
