    Not a Yooka Failee

    I felt that the majority of the negative reviews aimed at Yooka Laylee addressed the wrong issues. Yooka Laylee was promised to be a 3D Collectathon, Exploration-Based Platformer and it is exactly that. Lots of items to collect, challenges and puzzles to solve, bosses to fight, and minigames to play. This is done with stellar graphics trumping anything Nintendo has put out and mostly tight controls. The issues in this game lie in in the polish. For example, I feel I am able to climb things I shouldn't in this game. But it never feels as though I can exploit the game to skip challenges or complete it quicker. The camera, while not perfect, is better than its predecessors. Hope this swayed you to give it a try.     Really fun for the first few hours if you grew up with banjo kazooie, but that's it

    The first few hours of yooka laylee are great, the first two worlds are huge with plenty of fun platforming. However, id only say it's fun if you grew up playing banjo kazooie or donkey king 64, younger gamers will find this game outdated and clunky. The following worlds are much less fun or creative, seems like they sunk their budget into the early game. It's really a shame cuz I felt nostalgic but had fun with a new game at the same time, but this game ultimately falls flat.

    Felt like playing Banjo-Tooie

    As a die-hard BK and 3D platformer fan, it took me a little while to warm up to this game. But by the time I left the first level, I was sold. It was kind of like playing Banjo-Tooie after having grown up with Banjo-Kazooie. It seemed off or different for a while, but once you get used to it, it's a fantastic experience with only minor technical issues.

    If you like puzzle solving this is the game for you. Cute graphics, fun play. You really have to figure things out so it is a great game for keeping your brain active. I am a 64 year old grandma and I find this game cute, fun and challenging.

    Almost spiritual successor to banjo koozie

    If u grew up in the 90s and loved banjo koozie and other 90s 3d platform collectathons... then you'll enjoy this game. The games not perfect nor is it the lightning in the bottle that banjo was, but it does a good job at trying.
