Vorwort Die Industrialisierung der Wertschöpfungsketten von Banken geht weiter; der darunterlieg- de Trend ist ungebrochen. Margen- und Kostendruck bestehen, wie schon in der Vorauflage beschrieben, fort. Die Bereitschaft, Kernkompetenzen neu und enger zu definieren, öffnet einerseits die Möglichkeit, bisher selbst erbrachte Wertschöpfungsteile nach außen zu ver- gern. Andererseits basiert der aktuell verfolgte Smart-Sourcing-Ansatz auch auf der Erken- nis, dass Outsourcing an den Schnittstellen zu den Lieferanten hin neue, unbekannte K- plexitäten und Verwerfungen mit sich bringen kann. In Konsequenz hiervon ist die Reduzierung der Anbieter sinnvoll um die Komplexität des Vendoren Management zu re- zieren. Die genaue Schnittstellen- und Aufgabenbeschreibung zwischen Insourcer und O- sourcer muss im Rahmen des Initialprojekts erfolgen, um betriebswirtschaftliche Über- schungen beim Insourcer und nicht erfüllte Erwartungen auf Seiten des Outsourcers zu vermeiden. Die Kreativität der eingeschlagenen Lösungswege macht mittlerweile auch vor Verbund- und Landesgrenzen nicht mehr Halt, wie am Beispiel dwpbank bzw. equens (s. Beitrag in dieser Auflage) zu sehen ist. Im Zahlungsverkehr findet aktuell eine Konsolidierung zwischen den Großbanken in Ri- tung Postbank statt (vgl. Beitrag in dieser Auflage); die DZ BANK wagt mit dem Merger ihres Transaktionsinstituts (TAI) zu equens einen Schritt über die deutschen Landsgrenzen hinaus.
