      Good Enough

      Not a robust instrument but ok for home use. I found it not to easy to get acceptable reading at first but once mastered was ok. It represents good value for money and was ok for a home use instrument.

      Poor readings

      The clip provided does not hold the balance viewer as the ball is not held tight enough. When trying to use the Carbalancer it gave different readings when checking the same carburettor without carrying out any adjustments. This made it impossible to compare the readings on both carburettors. Also it difficult to see the indicator inside the balance tube (it also gets stuck) as its silver in colour and does not show up very well. All in all its about as good as a chocolate teapot and I am very disappointed with this product from a company that normally produces good quality products.

      Not as reliable as stated and certainly NOT worth the £20 odd quid I paid for it.

      While engine was up to temperature and running I found that if tool was taken off carb and then immediately replaced it mostly gave different readings, also little needle/marker kept sticking even when sight gauge was dead upright, took quite some time to set the four carbs on my V12 and even though car does seem to run slightly better I'm not convinced It's a 100%, probably best to spend a little more and get something more precise.

      Very poor quality product. The hard plastic used for the cup to connect to the carb prevents a good air seal. Hard tube material is very stiff and difficult to use. Scale shows cheap printed scale.

      Unless you have it absolutely vertical with the engine running (vibrations)? The ball gets stuck? So i would have been better buying the dearer direct gauge type?
