In a small western town several of the residents go missing and are feared to have been kidnapped by a cannibalistic tribe who live in vast caves deep in the desert lands. Originally thought to be Indians, the tribe is actually a spoiled bloodline known as troglodytes; vicious killers who prefer human meat over all else. Bone Tomahawk
A great western with a twist. A fantastic film interesting start then crawls a bit as it spins its yarns about the town folks but more than makes up for it at the films gruesome climax - I won’t say any more than that as I don’t want to leave any spoilers for anyone. I was recommended this film by a friend and I was not disappointed a great movie for lovers of westerns and horror movies I urge you buy a copy and have a look for yourselves. A thoroughly unique Western !
How this film is not more widely known is beyond me . Excellent , unique Western . There are familiar aspects - although much better in their execution than usual - but other aspects are like nothing i have seen before in this genre . A slow start that leads to edge of the seat stuff. The acting is convincing and the story draws you in from near the start to the very last scene... Make no mistake, this has an 18 certificate for a very good reason, it is both scary and pretty gory. Basically, without giving too much away, I would classify this as a 'Horror Western' starring Kurt Russell (Tombstone) and you are unlikely to fall asleep watching it. Brilliant and horrific
Unusual Western that delves into a bit of horror. It follows a small posse who are chasing a group of cannabilistic Indians and their hostages. Be prepared for some particular nasty scenes. Another great Western
I had read positive reviews and the story plot sounded OK. The main characters are very well cast. Kurt Russell is exceptional. The ending has a twist that I did not see coming. My only gripe is the appearance and behaviour of the 'boogey men' It felt like their casting and role had been put together without too much thought.
