Synopsis
Stone Barrington gets entangled in the rarefied art business in this heart-stopping thriller by #1 New York Times bestselling author Stuart Woods. When a slam-bang of a crime brings a beautiful new client into Stone Barrington's office, little does he know his association with her will pull him into a far more serpentine mystery in the exclusive world of art. It's a business where a rare find could make a career--and a collection--and mistakes in judgment are costly. And under its genteel and high-minded veneer lurks an assortment of grifters and malfeasants eager to cash in on the game. In the upscale world of New York City's luxury penthouses and grand Hamptons estates, it will take a man of Stone Barrington's careful discernment and well-honed instincts to get to the truth without ruffling the wrong feathers...because when it comes to priceless and irreplaceable works of art, the money and reputations at stake are worth killing for.

    • Book Great - Formatting not So

I'm not sure if it is important for me to provide a book review on an ebook, but since buying ebooks is new on ebay I thought that I would write and include my experience with the seller. The seller did everything as requested...but I will look for other sellers in the future. The first was that it took 3 days to obtain the ebook (which, again is as advertised) while many sellers turn around the chosen work in mere minutes. Secondly, though I have purchased a few other ebooks via ebay, this particular work is oddly formatted. No more than two lines of the work are together with a huge break in between. Once I got used to reading in this manner everything was fine, but still makes me wonder if this is a problem with the book itself or with the seller's formatting. Add to these ...

    • Title is very apt. Totally fits background of story.

light, easy reading. The content of mystery is very good and enjoyable. I enjoy reading about the excellent food, beverages, hotels, air planes, etc. Nice to know how the wealthy live, and his hero is very sophisticated.
