Love it.
I did my research before I purchased. It is good quality and full featured. I use it in an industrial environment and is my first line meter for troubleshooting. I have more in depth meters for bench work or if I need to go further with a specific function. That being said, I usually do not need them. This meter has all the bells and whistles and is packed with features. It has ac/dc amps, belts a non contact Volt indicator, capacity tester built in light and illuminated backlit screen. So most everything is covered. I do recommend buying the magnetic holder that class to the back. It is a great feature and extremely useful.

price wins BUT this is not my go-to meter
love the shipper and price point. Otherwise, lots of gripes: -min max is not reliable -too easy to change dial from amps to volts or some other such bump -too easy to change mode from ac to dc or some other such bump -bundled leads should not be 90 degrees -viewing angle is not copasetic with the amp clamp (not for cars, anyway)

Worthwhile Purchase
I needed a DVM that I could rely on to be accurate and work all the time. This Klein meter fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to use and based on testing it against other units, is very accurate. The amp clamp feature is what I was after and it has performed as I had hoped. It helped me track down a parasitic draw on my car and saved me a boat load of money. Highly recommend the unit.

Great value and rugged too.
Lots of features and rugged too. The fact that it can measure both ac and dc amperage using the clamp is a great feature. It even has a built in light. Why only 4 stars? Well I would give it 41/2 stars but you can't do that. The leads are good, but the more expensive meters have the silicone leads. Also no alligator clip come with it. If you need more than 1000V or 600 amps you need to buy a more expensive meter.

Klein 800 volt ohm meter

A Great Instrument at a very fair price.
Can measure DC up to 600a!!... perfect for measuring battery to inverter amps with larger appliance inrush; True RMS when on AC; auto-ranging; touch probe voltage measurements; flashlight; auto-shutdown - what’s not to like!!

what more can I say then this is a Klein meter with dc current for around $100 !!!!! Yea you might have guessed I am stoked. I works great like all Klein tools do. I was using a overseas from another company and it stopped working after a short time
