The medium/firm mattress is on the medium rather than firm side although we found that turning it around, so that what was at the bottom was now at the top produced a firmer feel. The divan base itself has two good sized drawers on either side at the foot end of the bed in our case. Very pleased with the overall ordering process and the very quick delivery.
