CHILD 44, based on the first book of a trilogy by Tom Rob Smith, tells the story of pro-Stalin MGB Agent Leo Demidov (Tom Hardy) who takes it upon himself to investigate a series of child murders. The state insists that such crimes do not exist in their country and that the idea of a child murderer, let alone a serial killer, is impossible. With the help of his wife Raisa (Noomi Rapace), Demidov continues to try and solve the case, despite being demoted and exiled.

    I love Tom Hardy, this was an excellent film. Good actors throughout.Engaging story with characters you believed in. I'd recommend this movie very highly.very impressed.Getting to stare at Tom Hardy for the duration of the film was a pure Bonus.

    Brilliant film - let down by poor sound

    I loved the book of Child 44 and read it twice. I was eagerly awaiting the film. The DVD, although enjoyable from the story point of view, and excellent performance by Tom Hardy and Naomi. The sound on the DVD was abysmal and it was only enhanced slightly by the fact that I have a sound bar.

    Very nice movie

    Brilliant performance by all the characters in this movie. Tom Hardy is truly a magnificent actor along with Gary Oldman, I won’t describe what the movie is all about and spoilt it for those who hasn’t watch it yet but it’s a movie well worth watching 👍🏼👍🏼.
