Gordon Lightfoot cd
I've always loved Gordon Lightfoot. As a young girl when 'Sundown' came out I bought it and played it until I drove my parents nuts. They were already nuts from the Beatles but Sundown spoke to me as a teenager.. I always loved Gordon and most of his songs touched me. Then when The Wreak of the Edmund Fitzgerald came out I became obsessed with ship wrecks which has become a live long love of mine. I went to the Great Lakes and went through the maritime museums. I felt the pain of those men who died on that ship through Gordon's music and he opened a world of interest for me through his music. I'm grateful to Gordon for his music and so deeply sad when he had to stop performing due to a medical condition. Now having liver cancer myself and not being able to travel, I am re buying my youth through cd's and this one was a very special gift. I highly recommend Gordon's music, to EVERYONE. Great for Gordon fans!
An excellent compilation of Lightfoot's songs. It has the The Wreck of the Edmund Fitsgerald which is one of my personal favorites, most of his other albums don't feature it, so it's worth the cost for that song alone, also with many other of his most popular tunes.
