    Great series that didn't get a chance to shine.

    I watched this when it initially aired and was disappointed. It was more a new version of The X-Files than a reboot of the old Nightstalker series and I wasn't willing to give it a chance. I stumbled across an old VHS of the episodes I recorded when it was on-air, watched them, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Then, I found out there were 4 unaired episodes and this DVD became a necessity.....and the unaired episodes are some of the best! It's truly a shame this series didn't connect back then, but it did with me now. I'm glad I bought it.

    Worth watching for fans of Kolchak

    For fans of the original Kolchak: The Night Stalker, the underrated 2005 reboot has interesting similarities and differences. It is facinating to see how the series evolved in the 10 episodes that were produced. Around episode 8, Dan Curtis was brought on as a "consulting producer" and there is a decided uptick in humor and witty banter between the characters.

    good as kolchak's nightstalker

    intriguing and a new spin on the old series. wish the more modern series could have lasted longer and resolved some issues brought up in the program. no cliffhangers like new series abruptly ending.
