Good product, Good value!
This item is a direct physical replacement for the original plug, being well constructed and having a good appearance. Inside the casing the solder tabs are well designed and easy to solder to, with the base connection also providing a strain relief for the cable. My only criticism is that there is no rubber/plastic strain relief as it leaves the plug casing, as this is a known stress point on microphone cables. This problem can be ameliorated somewhat by the use of heat shrink over the initial section of cable. Better than the original !
This locking plug is a better product than the one that comes on the Sennheiser lapel mic - and the collar slides right back so you can use it in a non-locking 3.5mm socket without difficulty. Extremely well engineered metal plug - I have bought several of these.
