I have had this antenna on my trunk lid for two years with no difficulties. It tunes with low SWR on 140-160 and 430-470 with my antenna analyzer and should match at 800 due to 3 inch base length. Works fine with 800 Mhz public service. I changed coax to RG-8x after the first 3 feet of RG-174 to minimize losses. This thin coax will be perfect for running temporarily around car doors in rented vehicles to a handheld or mobile. Strange dual coil design but it matches well to frequencies of interest.
