Yes, the Gibson EB2D. One of only 400 sunburst made in 1968. Exceedingly rare and along with the reverse Thunderbird basses, probably the two of the best basses (along with the very first, original Jack Bruce EB3 (SG) bass!) Gibson ever made. Union made in the original factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan it was the only model to retain a Brazilian fingerboard after 1965. Nice! It has thunderous bass power to be sure. But with a beautiful, cello-like heart in the note (Think: The Animals!) It can also get very, very trebly if you want and the baritone switch is a useful and tone-ful control that makes it sound different from any other bass. Amazing original 1960's ES 335 styling and Gibson quality construction with low action makes this short-scale, premium instrument a winner!...who could ask for more?Read full review
This EB bridge cover is very well made, just as described, with quality stainless steel. It is bent and cut with precision. It is a fair price to pay for such a great re-issue product.
Awesome axe with but one tone.......heavy and hard to handle....but a classic!
