The only very small problem with this tug is trying to refit the battery, the answer is simple! Buy a Tamily connector ET0626 and a ET0627 and solder the leads supplied to make up an extension lead . Problem solved. I love the tug👍

Looks great and the 'spec' well above what you would expect, so many 'extras' as well with lights, horn etc. It is a really good outline of the 'prototype' down here on the Itchen (name is Wyeforce by the way). Not got to try it in water yet due to 'covid' so I can't comment on that. However problems as built are mainly down to the very short wires which makes life difficult. You have to disconect all the wires with their delicate plugs etc in order to use the 'smoke' effect. I am led to believe there should be a plug in the filling hole for the oil but that is not with mine so a) I have not tried it and b) because I'm sure that the wires will soon break by repeated removal - the smoke will not occur (it'll keep the greens happy). Also the plastic hand rails and deck fitting are very delicate and liable to breakage - again whilst removing that superstructure. Now the worst and I'm about to contact the supplier on this fault. The rudder control only works intermittently and sticks in all sorts of positions. The solenoid is getting very hot indeed. At first I thought it was the rudders themselves so took off the solenoid 'arm' and made sure they moved well - the problem was not cured though and all you get is a buzzing noise and the overheatingRead full review

This plastic boat has many features worked by the remote control. There is the usual back/forwards, port/starboard but this boat has switchable navigation lights, horn, front spot, wheelhouse lighting and work area floodlights and smoking exhausts. Also it has three speeds both direction. Tyres are realistic, you have to fit them yourself, very nice. ONLY THREE STARS because you have to remove the wheelhouse to access the battery and on/off switch, not so bad - but the wires are ridiculously short so it is a right faff. Some wires are plugged but some are fixed. To put oil in the tank to make the exhaust smoke the whole boat has to be turned upside down!! This is a pet hate of mine - TO SAVE JUST A COUPLE OF PENCE (ON LONGER WIRES) THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED HOW DIFFICULT IT MAKES IT FOR THE USER. Because of this I am in the process of having to extend all the wires, not good at all !!!Read full review

Delivery was a week earlier that intimated. Appears reasonably robust and detail is great. Could be used as a table model but has the advantage of actually working. Absolutely minimal assembly
