When Cat takes a break in Italy, Isabel agrees to run her delicatessen. One of the customers, she discovers, has recently had a heart transplant and is now being plagued by memories that cannot be rationally explained and which he feels do not belong to him. Isabel is intrigued. So intrigued that she finds herself rushing headlong into a dangerous investigation. Having already read several of this author's works, I have bid on and acquired several more of his books on e-bay. For me the books generally are immensely entertaining and compulsive reading! This particular book is in the Isabel Dalhousie set. In these stories, the main character, a philosopher, expounds and also lives out her ideas on how to live a good and productive life. Most of her ideals and thoughts I share, and so I am totally enthralled and empathise with her actions. I would therefore whole-heartedly recommend any book by this author in the Dalhousie series and also in the 44 Scotland Street series. I'm not, however, as conversant with the Number 1 Detective agency series.Having already read several of this author's works, I have bid on and acquired several more of his books on e-bay.
