Works great for mini shells in Mosserg 500
I wanted to use the Aguilla mini shells to teach my children how to shoot slugs for hunting purposes. These shells have very little recoil but won't cycle properly in any pump action shotgun. My son used them successfully to take several deer using a single barrel shotgun. The OpSol clip device worked like a charm in my Mossberg 500 with no jamming issues. I bought this brand name part because I read bad reviews about some of the other imitations coming from overseas. If you like these shells and own a Mossberg 500, this is definitely a part that you want to have. I wanted to use the Aguilla mini shells to teach my children how to shoot slugs for hunting purposes. It could be a little more durable materi...
It could be a little more durable material I don't expect it the last very long but it fits and functions great. Kudos on the design it's just too soft of a material to be durable for very long. The initial installation being very careful still cut into the material and it's more than obvious if you take it in and out several times it would degrade it eventually to the point where it will no longer stay in the chamber leading to a misfeed. Great idea just be careful with long-term use with thisIt could be a little more durable material I don't expect it the last very long but it fits and functions great. Have to really push it in there but once...
Have to really push it in there but once inside it won’t go no where. At first thought it wasn’t going to fit my Mossberg Maverick. But it just took some wiggling and it fit nice and tight I purchased some Chinese off brand first, but it kept falling everytime I wanted to chamber next shot. That’s not the case with this Opsol mini clip. They definitely know the shotgun dimensions

A very clever device
12 gauge rounds can be known to have some kick. Mini shells, offer a reduced recoil in this gauge. However, most pump shotguns are designed for full length shells, and do not function correctly with the mini shells. This mini adaptor allows complete flawless function with mini shells in the Maverick 12ga pump I own. It pops into the receiver in seconds, and is there until you remove it. And it's just the thing for an older gent like myself to enjoy a 12ga pump shotgun without being punished for it. As in the title of this review, this adapter is a very clever device. It's well made and easy to use. Once in place, it doesn't move. The mini shells are cycled through the weapon perfectly. Excellent idea, well made and am happy to have it.
I recently purchased the adapter and used it my new 590 Shockwave. It's easy to use and so much easier on the body when firing 1-3/4" rounds instead of 2-3/4". I didn't realize how much a beast the Shockwave was when I originally purchased it, but it's been "tamed" with the adapter and shorter rounds. In addition, from a home protection standpoint, I like the idea of 9 rounds on the ready instead of 6. I recently purchased the adapter and used it my new 590 Shockwave. It's easy to use and so much easier on the body when firing 1-3/4" rounds instead of 2-3/4".
