Would not recommend for mk5 gti
Item arrived in good time and was reasonably priced however when it arrived it had a couple damaged fins, furthermore when fitting to my mk5 gti, the intercooler coupler was completely different and did not work with my car. The end tank fittings to connect the hoses onto weren’t at the correct angle either. After ordering the correct the coupler and slightly modifying the intercooler I got it to work. Overall finish of the item (apart from damaged fins) was 10/10 however the incorrect coupler and the wrongly angled inlet made it a nightmare to install.Item arrived in good time and was reasonably priced however when it arrived it had a couple damaged fins, furthermore when fitting to my mk5 gti, the intercooler coupler was completely different and did not work with my car. Good quality direct replacement intercooler
Very good quality core intercooler, a few minor installation issues. Slight modification to radiator mounting holes needed to line up bolts on cooler. Cooler is supplied with an adaptor for the hot intake pipe which doesn’t fit the original pipe. Item not required anyway as the original adapter isn’t removed for this installation.
