Tecmo's horseracing series gallops back to North America with this fourth release for PlayStation 2. The main interface of Gallop Racer 2006 is structured like a virtual amusement park, through which gamers can choose from five modes of play. In Gallop Stallion mode, players can create custom horses to compete in the game's other events, and Title Collection mode follows a single horse's career, from colt to retirement. Memorial Quest and Hall of Fame modes feature computer re-creations of famous races from the sport's storied history. Field of Legend mode allows players to race steeds created in Gallop Stallion against the real-life champions featured in Memorial Quest and Hall of Fame.

    History of rare video games old school encyclopedia

    Well horse racing games are pricey for the fact that only for psx ps2 wii ds 3ds gba have existed the most. Older old school systems like nes GameCube xbox Saturn dreamcast have never barely released any horse racing games so the less there are the more value the only games exists especially when not many copies were ever made. That is a fact!!!!!!

    Better than the ps3 version

    This game is perfect for horse racing fan, The only problem i have is the story mode and the option for customizing your jockey and name. They could have done more for the game but overall it fun to play with friends or when you're bored.
