My own carelessness tipped mine over a few times or completely knocked off desktops all the way down to hard tiled floor surfaces one time too many, and that's my own fault, not the fault of the device. Rugged yes, it can take a few tip-overs, (Mine Did), but nobody said it's "indestructable". That's what great about the price of this. It's not the end of the world if you ever need replace it.     Good Price, Great Storage

    I trust Western Digital Drives and have used them exclusively for 30 years with only two failures and the last one was the USB interface that failed not the drive itself. Was able to recover all files by removing drive and installing it my computer. This drive replace that one, good price with lots of storage.

    A great hard drive!

    This drive has lots of space and is accommodating my video and audio file transfers/copies nicely. My computer only has USB 2.0 I/O's but this hard drive streams videos directly without any skips. I decided to change an APC 7-port hub with a cheap 10-port USB hub and had skips all over the place. Purchased a new Anker 14-port USB hub and everything is flawless including the streaming. The case is about a quarter inch taller than my older WD drives. I liked this 4 TB drive so much that I purchased another one within 2 weeks.

    4tb for ~100 is a solid deal

    after doing some research and finding that these easystores have WD Red NAS drives inside of them they are my new go to for every day storage. so far it's working great. came sealed new in box and works great after plugging it in. as with all external hard drives though only time will tell how long it will actually last. hopefully 5 years minimum :D
