Very confused and disappointed. I almost NEVER leave negative feedback... but this Seller after accepting my offer to his Make an Offer option waited three days after my PROMPT payment and reneged on the deal WITHOUT warning, or explanation. The unexpected cancelation of my order ruined my game night plans, which I based on the original estimated delivery date. Fortunately, I found the game elsewhere on eBay and received it quickly. Bad business. Frustrating!

    Tried and True Weather

    This item was a replacement for exact model that had worn out after about 10 years of relentless daily use. Alerts and warnings are relevant. Band selection allows different cities. Has battery back-up slot. Is portable enough to take along when traveling on vacation. Would like for item to last longer,but price makes replacement not a large concern.

    Squealing problem is easily fixable.

    Caused by plugging in AC adaptor in pc plug instead of DC input. They are next to each other and easy to plug in wrong input. Solution: Pull batteries out of unit. Unplug AC adapter and let unit sit for about 20 minutes. Reinstall batteries, reprogram and plug in ac adapter in CORRECT input. Problem should be cleared. This is how I fixed the squealing problem on my Midland weather radio.

    EASY FIXES

    If the radio doesn't work, check that the "weather radio" switch on the right side is turned on. Also, the antenna mount on these breaks easily. It's fairly easy to repair or use an external antenna. If it sounds the alert tone when listening to the radio, loosen and retighten the 6 screws holding the circuit board to the case.
