I must also tell you the item was loosely wrapped in a cylinder of cardboard without any padding either side to it. So, being heavy, part of its metalwork was bent back and had burst through the end of it when it was apparently dropped. A wad of cardboard on each side of it would have given the necessary protection and prevented the terminals from being damaged.
