Entry level radio with some high end features.
The Tecsun pl-380 is excellent value. The radio is compact but comes with a surprisingly large number of powerful features. The sound quality is crisp and clear when taking into account the size of the radio and speaker. The digital display is well set out and conveys how the radio is operating clearly. There are too many features to list here, but I do like the 'Easy Tune Method' (ETM). The ETM will scan for example the shortwave bands and store a list of active frequencies which can be sampled by turning the encoder tuning control. The radio has a 550 total memory capacity which I find adequate. The radio is very sensitive on the shortwave and FM bands in particular. My reason for purchasing this set was for shortave listening.
