The Seagate Momentus internal hard drive uses perpendicular recording technology to deliver its 80 GB capacity. The Momentus hard drive has a spindle speed of 5,400 RPM and a SATA interface. This 80 GB hard drive is designed for use in a desktop computer with a PC platform. It has a buffer of 8 MB, and the external data transfer rate is 150 Mbps with an average seek time of 12.5 ms and an average latency of 5.6 ms, giving this Seagate Momentus solid quick response to requests. This Momentus hard drive uses QuietStep Native Command Queuing to improve performance and reliability. G-Force Protection technology works to protect this 80 GB hard drive from free-fall impact through a sensor that detects changes in acceleration. The Seagate Momentus has a form factor of 2.5 inches by 1/8 inch (63.3 mm by 3.18 mm) with dimensions of 2.8 inches by 3.9 inches by 0.04 inches (71.1 mm by 99.1 mm by 1 mm) and a weight of 102.6. On average, this hard drive operates between 5 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

    well happy

    Was very happy with this hard drive , works fine and have not had a problem with it at all, I am using it in my Netbook which is used quite a lot daily,and for the price 5 stars!!! :)

    Did what it said it would

    2nd user drive to repair a laptop. Tested fine no errors. Came formatted. Just like it said on the box.

    Good drive for its price

    Good performance as a drive, love Seagate as a brand with good reliability. Only thing to fault is the size but these days the only reason you'd get this over other drives is it's cheap.
