Notes
This album, released in '79, signaled the "rebirth" of Jefferson Starship after singers Marty Balin and Grace Slick left the band (replaced by Mickey Thomas). This Top 10 album earned Starship yet another gold record and proved the band had a rare kind of longevity. Highlighted by the Top 20 single "Jane" and the classic "Rock Music," this reissue (never before released on CD) includes new liner notes (featuring an interview with Paul Kantner) and has been digitally remastered for the best quality sound. This product is an authorized manufactured on demand CD-R

  • an excellent CD from the late 70s

an excellent CD capping off the Mickey Thomas era of Jefferson Starship. Here's some highlights "Girl With the Hungry Eyes" great opening lyric - "I like to move at the speed light! Albert says I can't but I can!" "Rock & Roll is good time music! Listen to it!!" "Jane" the big top 40 hit of this album....who could forget? "Awakening" - Racing through time toward the light/We just do what we must/We're more than just ashes our spirits are more than just dust - lyrics from Jeanette Sears, wife of band member, Pete Sears (now wasn't that a metaphyscial way to describe our lives?) Great lyrics from the Late Paul Kantner Blistering, brilliant guitar from Craig Chaquico

  • Freedom at Point Zero by Jefferson Starship

What I like about it is the song "Jane" and it became a hit in 1979 when the Baltimore Orioles won the AL East title with ease by 8 games over the Milwaukee Brewers, in the ALCS they faced the California Angels who are making their first playoff appearance in their 18 year history. The O's won the first 2 games by grabbing a 2-0 lead, in game 3 they lost a heartbreaker 4-3, and in game 4 they would win behind the pitching of Scott McGregor in an 8-0 victory to send the O's to their 4th AL Pennant in 10 years. In the 1979 World Series they feaced the "We are Family" Pittsburgh Pirates and 3-1 lead in the series before losing in a 7 game series 4 games to 3.

  • Good old school rock

Love this old album text me back to when I was about 1415 years old I think it was one of my 1st actual vinyl albums I had played it till it wore out also I met Craig chaqico, the guitar player, years later very fine guy ....and a great album

  • One of their all-time best-if not the best.

Love all the songs. A real treat of arrangement of songs. Also many songs that I don't remember being chart-toppers were inspiring.
