Item Functions Well But Arrived With an Oily Sticky Substance All Over the Remote.....Gross!
The remote was identical to the one I received with the Speaker system I bought in 2008. The price was great. It functions well. Unfortunately the remote has a sticky oily substance all over it. It's very hard to clean it off because it is electrical so you cannot immerse the remote in water or use any strong cleaning agents. The sticky oily substance is so tacky and gross that I had to cover the remote with a clear plastic bag around the unit so I don't have to wash my hands every time I use it. I tried alcohol on a rag and also dish soap on a rag, no luck.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great system the Logitech Z506 but change the subwoofer driver
I have heard one before and have seen youtube videos on it, everyone says the same thing about the subwoofer driver that it is garbage. by research i found that replacing the subwoofer with a better one is best and of course you will have to build another box. a great choice can be found at parts express like for instance a dayton or a tang band 4 ohm subwoofer one choice is a dayton ND140-4 midbass driver in a 1 cubic foot ported box with two 2 inch ports x 8 inches long tuned to 40 hz, i was going to try this but when i bought my z506 system it didnt come with the subwoofer unit so i sent it all back for a refund and i will buy from another source not overstockVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
