rip-roaring end to the series!
Blake's 7 is one of those series that only seems to get better with the passage of time. Loved it as a kid. But didn't expect to find it quite so riveting all these years later. The final series is probably my least favourite of the four - the loss of most of the original cast along with the original ship and the series producer take their toll a little. But the overall standard of stories is still good - some of them are corkers. And I can't think of any series that ever delivered a more conclusive, more shocking ending. Blakes 7 series 4
This is the final season of Blakes 7. Avon leads the crew through a variety of misadventures. If you have the other three seasons, you need this season if only for the final episode. The DVD has a new sequence at the menu and a disc full of extras. Some of the little out takes, and extras are really fun.

This was a dvd I was never going to buy. I had it on video and it was never a favourite series for me, and the episodes seem to have lost their way. In the end I relented, as I found a bargain on Ebay for it, and it would complete the set of my dvds of the series, and give me room on my shelf! The episodes are still pretty bad, though there are as in most things some good ones amongst it that hold up. The best part of the dvd's are the extras though. The outakes, the interviews with people behind the scenes, especially the ladies and gentlemen who created the special sounds for the show, and Paul Darrows thoughts on Avon. Nice also to get some of the takes not used in the show, and gives you an incite into how an episode is made.This was a dvd I was never going to buy.
