The new Q6600 beater
well what can i say its cheap has amazing performance and overclocks like a dream i have mine running stable and used 24/7 @ 4.2ghz on my cogage arrow air cooler temps on load below 70 at thats even in this heatwave were having right now 58% overclock is just amazing but out of the box without overclock with the built in turbo its just as awesome since it uses dual chan memory you dont need the expense of tri channel which has very little improvement and according to everest my i5 runs memory better than i7 920 anyway overall i got this as if i went for the i7 860 id have less left over for a beast of a cooler and graphics card.saying that Hyper threading isnt really to useful to a gamer such as myself so a i5 750 is more than enough with the relatively cheap 1156 motherboards available ... well what can i say its cheap has amazing performance and overclocks like a dream i have mine running stable and used 24/7 @ 4.2ghz on my cogage arrow air cooler temps on load below 70 at thats even in this heatwave were having right now 58% overclock is just amazing but out of the box without overclock with the built in turbo its just as awesome since it uses dual chan memory you dont need the expense of tri channel which has very little improvement and according to everest my i5 runs memory better than i7 920 anyway overall i got this as if i went for the i7 860 id have less left over for a beast of a cooler and graphics card.saying that Hyper threading isnt really to useful to a gamer such as myself so a i5 750 is more than enough with the relatively cheap 1156 motherboards available ( the gigabyte ud2 which i owned before i upgraded to a mobo with better crossfire support was dirt cheap and ran my i5 @4ghz stable) the only downside is memory runs using spd x6 8 and 10 so your ram will be 10x your bus maxed so if your not planning to overclock it 1333mhz ram is the best you will be able to use but even on the stock cooler overclocking to 160 bus and spd x 10 youll be able to use 1600mhz ram and temps will be acceptable tested it myself
