Perfect transaction! I am usually very hesitant to buy used books because I feel that they are never in their stated condition, but this seller did not disappoint! The pictures were well done and the description was accurate! I am very pleased with this purchase and also happy to have my funds help a library. My book was shipped quickly and packaged with care. It was also reasonably priced. You can shop confidently with this seller and I definitely plan to shop again. Thank you!

  • Saving Fish From Drowning by Amy Tan

Amy Tan is my favorite author. She can weave a tale better than any writer I've read. Saving Fish is so intriging and informative about the land of Burma. I feel like I've been there after she described the culture and politics.

  • A Gem

I played this during a long road trip. It was wonderful to hear the author read her enchanting work. It had great fully-developed characters, interesting insights into exotic parts of the world. I learned a great deal about the beliefs and politics.

  • It's like you were there

I instantly fell in love with this book and was unable to put it down from start to finish. I think she did a fabulous job in making the reader live vicariously through the traveling characters. There is just the right amount of romance, suspence, mystery, as well as a rich cultural background.

  • I liked Amy Tan's Saving Fish From Drowning.

I liked the story on dvd in my car. Amy Tan is a passable narrator, and an excellent writer. The story was very different from her first couple of books. I have read them all. Books on disc are great, as my commutej seems so much shorter now.

  • BORING!

I bought this book because I belong to a bookclub and this is one of Amy Tan's books that was chosen for this month. Frankly, I found it grueling to read. I never passed the 1st chapter because it was so boring. I am a big fan of Amy Tan and have read all of her books but this one falls flat.
