About this product

Product Information

A man who was previously abused by his mother takes out his frustrations on innocent women. He scalps them and uses their hair to make wigs for his mannequins. Upon its release in 1980 this film was accused by critics of taking the slasher film and its accompanying gore effects to new, unpleasantly graphic levels. Special effects were orchestrated by Tom Savini.

  • ...still a great film

I saw this movie on half.com and bought it instantly. After almost 20 years, I saw this movie again and it's still an amazing movie. Joe Spinell was an amazing actor. (Is that guy still alive?) This was by far his best acting in a movie ever. He plays his character with such precision. Like Spinell said, people like the character that he played in this movie really do exsist, which makes tghis movie that much scarier. After seeing this film, you'll never want to take the subway alone again. Spinell really sells his character. The movie is shocking and disturbing and proves that a movie doesn't have to have modern computer graphics or an off the chain, outrageous budget to be great. This movie was and is still brilliant and scary.
