    Works.... Runs HOT!!!! RAID6 is very slow!

    Unit runs very HOT! I mounted a fan on a PCI bracket next to this card to help keep it cool and hopefully extend its life. These card are prone to premature failure. I can only guess it's because of the heat. RAID6 write speed is a very slow 30Mbps when using 8 drives.

    Great performance and reliability

    Product as advertised. Works perfectly. Currently serving a number of RAID drives in an VMware ESXi 6.5 server. The battery unit is still servicable but has reduced life, as expected, since it is several years old. Honestly, pleasantly surprised it still has life in it. But buyer should be aware that the battery unit may need to be replaced in the near future. This is normal battery lifetime stuff.
