    Arrived early. High Density Closed Cell XPE is what you want. If you see a product that does not have the embosed squares pattern, don't by the smooth finish on the aluminum. You basically are buying Mylar. This seller sella a high quality product. put 10mm xpe in the headlng of my black Dodge caliber. I live in the High desert Southwest. No heat gets in my car.

    I plan to use the item for sound deadening and hope that it works for that pretty well. It seems pretty lightweight, but I'm sure it'll work great as an insulation for underhood applications. Lots of trapped air in it and good foil lining on it.

    Great product. would buy again.

    Insulation was used on a 1951 Cranbrook. It stuck tight under the hood after I cut it to fit. Not only does it look great, but also prevents the heat from making the hood hot when running when in the car port.
