    DOOOOOM!!!

    If you like doom, there is no reason why you should not have this album already. Candlemass is one of if not the best doom metal band in existence, and this ties with Epicus Doomicus Metallicus as their finest album. The excellent keyboard intro leads into one of the best metal songs ever written, "Well of Souls". Epic, dark, and heavy, this is up there with "Solitude" from Epicus Doomicus Metallicus as some of the best doom songs ever written. This album is the first to feature Messiah on vocals, his impressive range and strange operatic style give the band an extra edge that they did not have with the previous vocalist. The rest of the album is like the first song, fantastic. Awesome riffs, loads of atmosphere, epic and evil at the same time. I would recommend this if you like early ...
