    Couldn’t figure out why the serpentine belt kept jumping one notch away from the motor and eventually shred.

    It was the idler pulley assembly. I was told by a independent mechanic that he had seen this before. He also told me not to waste my money on the Chinese knock offs as they do not work. Happy to report that my sons Honda Civic Si belt shredding issues are over!!
