Anyone who has ever been in the New York City subway system can attest to the frighteningly large rodents that Manhattan can boast. A genetic experiment gone awry has now created an ever larger breed with an appetite for human flesh. A department store is under siege and only Jack Carver (Vincent Spano) possesses the bravery and scientific background to stop these bloodthirsty creatures. Unfortunately, the rats are already vacating plenty of New York apartments and Carver's savvy may be too little and too late to save the Apple from being gnawed to its core.     A little scary, a little gory, with good acting

    At times, THE RATS is so bad it's funny. The swarm of rats in the swimming pool, with swimmers reacting like the swimmers in JAWS, is priceless. Most of the time, the rats look too cute to be scary, although a couple scenes of rats eating people are pretty gory. The human actors are a cut above those in most horror films, and the story is easy to follow with most scenes taking place in daylight so you know what's going on. Unless you are phobic about rats, the movie won't give you nightmares. But it's enjoyable, a bit scary, and suspenseful while it lasts.

    CREEPY MOVIE!!

    Creepy and gross!! I loved it!!! I've always liked scary, creepy and gross movies.....This fits the bill!!! Scared of rats? Don't watch this one...
